Katsuko Saruhashi: Google Doodle Celebrating Her Birthday

Katsuko Saruhashi, born on 22 March 1920 was a Geochemist from Japan. She is known for making some of the first measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in seawater and subsequently showed that the radioactive faults are present in the seawater and atmosphere.

During her Age, she won awards and honours like, In 1979 she Become the Executive director of the Geochemical Laboratory. In the year 1981, she won the Avon Special Prize for Women Scientists.
She was the Honorary member of the Geochemical Society of Japan and the Oceanographical Society of Japan.
